Spend two days creating a beautiful and useful harvest basket using wild vines that grow plentifully in our area! Using pre-harvested material such as wisteria, kudzu, and grapevine, learn to make a hoop basket style (often referred to as an egg basket) big enough for gathering your fall garden harvest. On Day 1: plant ID, harvesting, and processing will be covered. We will prepare our hoops, then bind them together and begin to weave. On Day 2: we will continue weaving, adding ribs, and add turnbacks (wedges) to complete our baskets. All levels welcome; all materials included.

Registration closes the Wednesday before class.

There are multiple price points, as this class is sliding-scale, and includes all supplies. Please choose the option that best suits what you can afford right now.
