Become acquainted with the powerful plant known as willow! For centuries, willow has been cultivated for use in making baskets, structures, and tools. It's strength, pliability, and beautifully shiny bark make it a sought-after material for basketmakers. In this workshop, use Orange County-grown basket willow to create a flat tray. This is a great introduction to working with willow. I will also share information on growing and harvesting willow. No previous experience necessary, but moderate hand strength is required. All materials included.

Registration closes the Wednesday before class.
