For Saturday's full-day Barn Quilt class, I am offering a farm-fresh lunch add-on so you can skip the meal prep and treat the day as a mini, all-inclusive retreat in Saxapahaw! About ten years ago, I worked at an on-farm restaurant in England that offered a flat fee, family-style meal made from whatever was coming out of the garden that week. I spent the years since going to culinary school, working in restaurants and on farms, always holding that experience as my north star. Having officially planted my roots in Efland, my newest venture, Slow Talkin' Farm, is in its first year and already producing a real bounty, and there seems like no better place than Triple Spring Studios to whip up that harvest into a nourishing meal that will fuel your creativity while keeping you grounded in the season. To highlight the produce, the lunch will be fully vegetarian and will include: 2-3 vegetarian dishes, salad, bread, a shrub and/or herbal tea, and dessert. We'll serve it up buffet-style so you can focus as much time as possible on your project. +$35/person
