This workshop will cover the basics of piecing a quilt top, assembling a quilt sandwich, and hand stitching quilts on a small scale. However, this iteration of Katya's mini quilt workshop is specifially geared towards the micro—in the size range between a postage stamp and a sticky note. Once we’ve created our micro quilts, we will fasten them to bolo tie slides and, using braided leather or non-leather cord* and tips, we will assemble our quilt bolo ties. This is a highly customizable craft and once you've got a handle on tiny quilts, you'll likely find yourself making them into magnets, brooches, keychains, name tags, and so much more! *Students may choose from leather, faux pv leather, or nylon cord. Color selections of non-leather cord is very limited.

Registration closes the Wednesday before class.
